Last Updated: 10-10-07 Plugin Updates (Feed)
When WordPress 2.3 was released a lot of people complained about the WordPress developers’ decision to switch from Technorati links to Google Blog Search links on the Dashboard. This plugin replaces Google Blog Search with Technorati.
Note: Some people are reporting seeing double links for some URLS. That is a problem on Technorati’s end. I am trying to think up some way to keep that from happening though, but I honestly cannot think up anything.
If you find any bugs I am an easy fellow to get in touch with.
Installation

- Place the file in your /wp-content/plugins directory.
- Enable it on the plugins page.
- Enjoy!
Download
Note: I have no affiliation with Technorati, and this plugin is not supported by them in any way, shape, or form. I am just a developer who is mad at the WordPress developers for removing this previously built-in functionality.
Configure It!
I added in one quick configuration option - Blog URL. Let’s say your blog it set up like mine, where WordPress is installed at nusuni.com/blog/, but you want to see the links for the main domain (nusuni.com). Well, The Blog URL option let’s you do that.
It no longer requires an API key - apparently Technorati doesn’t check to see if it’s in the URL, so for now I’ve removed that option.
Difference between 1.1 and 1.0
Version 1.0 requires a Technorati API key and simply adds the links to your Dashboard. Version 1.1 does not require an API key and it completely replaces the Google Blog Search.
Help Out
This plugin is licensed under version 2 of the GPL. If you have a bug fix or something, just drop me an e-mail and I’ll take a look at it.
If you’re not a programmer, you can always donate and help out a poor starving developer.
