A bunch of theories and ideas behind link building, with the main idea being links take a long time to get, and those who have lots of links have an easier time at getting more links.
Some security researchers found a vulnerability with the FeedSmith plugin that can potentially allow people to change your plugin settings while you are logged into WordPress. An updated plugin has been released.
Sorry About The Downtime - The HD on my shared server died, and HostGator took care of it immediately. They even got rid of the old server and switched to a brand new one.

Remember, PageRank Is Constantly Updating - Something that many Webmasters and SEOs forget about, the PR number that Google uses to rank your pages is never the same as the number that displays on the toolbar. The toolbar number is always out of date.
Take That Extra Second Out Of Your Life - Even doing something as simple as holding a door open helps someone, and helping other people is a great way of living a happier life.

Yaro Starak just recently released a video on his blog, Entrepreneurs Journey, about how hard he works for 20k a month. I’d highly recommend taking a quick look at it. Here’s a embed of it just in case you’re too lazy to visit his great blog:
Basically he spends 4 hours on his work. 2 or so hours on writing a new post, 1 hour for a video for Blog Mastermind, and an hour or so answering e-mails. So anywhere from 4 to 5 hours for $20,000 a month.
All I can say is damn, good for him. It’s well deserved too, Yaro has done some great work, and unlike a lot of Internet marketers (I hate most of them), he doesn’t try to fluff everything up (other than his hair). He tells it like it is. If you’re not subscribed I’d highly recommend doing so.
BlogStorm has hit the Digg front page like a gajillion times in the past week, here’s Patrick’s secret to doing it. I’ve yet to hit the Digg front page which I guess is good or bad… since I’m on a shared server (although my WP install is optimized like heck, and HostGator has awesome servers). Biggest social media hit I’ve taken was a Stumble attack of 5k hits or so.
This is something I’ve always tried to do, but do you do it? I think it is incredibly important because it shows that you care about the commentator, whether or not they are a regular reader.
Everyone has gotta love the BBC. Someone at the BBC offices made a change to the prez’s wikipedia entry so it would read “George Wanker Bush”. If this doesn’t prove to you the biased nature of the BBC then I don’t know what will.
Apparently the cable companies are starting to feel a major crunch due to streaming video and HD content being widely available. I personally think this is why the Internet has been running a bit slower lately.
