Howdy loyal readers,
As you may know, over the last few months this blog has fallen into a minor recession, similar to the one the U.S. economy is currently experiencing. I got a part time job nearly a month ago, so my time to work on my projects and sites has been limited. In addition, I have said “to hell with Apple” and switched over to Ubuntu as my main OS. It took a good 3 days to get my main requirements met, and as I type this I am still moving over my files. Hopefully in a few months I will be able to afford a nice new desktop to run Ubuntu much better than my current less-than-satisfactory 3 year old crap box.
Anyway, I am just writing this to let you know I will continue blogging, but it may no longer be on *this* site. I own a domain I use for my personal e-mail, and it is quite catchy. I am thinking about moving over every bit of content from this blog to that one, and jumping back into the blogging game. Yes, this is quite a shift of opinion from my previous posts. I’ve thought about it, and it doesn’t really take much time to write basic 3-4 paragraph posts.
Unfortunately my nice new CMS won’t be completed for quite some time (I haven’t touched the code since I got my non-freelancing job). So for now it looks as if I’ll be using WordPress for a while longer. Oh, and that software company I am thinking of starting is still on the radar. I won’t start it for many months though, as I’ll need to save a few g’s before I even attempt to do that; and at this point in time I think getting a better computer is more of a priority.
The switch over to the new domain will begin as soon as I can find a good chunk of time. Hmm, I have tomorrow off… perhaps I will start designing a new look and prepare the server…
Change is coming, and it looks good.
Thanks for your continued support,
Jeremy Steele
P.S. With everything going on now I don’t think I will be able to make it to Izeafest. Sorry.
Please subscribe, or else I will cry. Do you really want to make a programmer cry?
