Recently Darren Rowse wrote about how Akismet kept 2 million spam comments off ProBlogger and saved him 40+ nonstop days worth of cleanup work. In the comments many other bloggers mentioned the “Did You Pass Math?” plugin, which adds a simple “what is 4 + 9?” question before the comment field. I’m going to try it out on here for a bit - just to see how well it works.

I flunked math twice. Was trying to congratulate you for some great insights, some of you recommendations I have tried, others I’ve overlooked completely. But, alas, I am too dumb at math to get through.

Heh, that’s alright. I barely passed english and grammar in school and look at me now… heh.
I’m still not sure if it will stay activated, while I am getting less spam, some still is making its way through.
Might just try out a regular CAPTCHA.
