Set Up A Blogging Guideline

What is the best way to get yourself to stay ethical and on track? Setting up a guideline of course.

Before you even start blogging, or at least when you are first starting, take a few minutes and set one up. Save it in a text file, tape it to your wall - do anything to keep it easily accessible.

Your guideline doesn’t have to be too strict, after all it isn’t a rule book. It doesn’t have to cover every little aspect of blogging either, the purpose of it is to simply keep you on track.

Here’s the guideline I use:

  1. Try to provide the best content possible.
  2. Avoid becoming a daily ranter.
  3. Research all topics as much as possible.
  4. Stay white-hat with all SEO methods.

As you can see it isn’t too complicated, but it helps keep myself going on the right track.
