Simple Photoshop Web 2.0 Effect

Here’s how you can quickly and easily do the famous web 2.0 effect with your graphics:

Step 1) Create A New Image. Just make your image into whatever you want. I’ll make mine look like this:

Step 2) Duplicate The Object. That’s easy enough, just drag the object’s layer to the “new layer” icon.

Step 3) Vertical Flip. Goto edit->transform->vertical flip to flip the duplicate layer.

Step 4) Move the Duplicate. Place it below the original object like so:

Step 5) Mask It! Click the add mask button, then do a gradient from the top to the bottom until you get the desired effect.

And there you have it, a basic Web 2.0 graphic.
