Yet another person has filed a counterclaim against the RIAA.
They allege the RIAA hired a company to break into private computers and view its files (an obvious illegal activity), extorts money out of people, and violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
Will the defendant win? I hope so. I am a pretty strong advocate of intellectual property rights, but there is a fine line between punishing those who break the law and going way overboard in punishing those who break the law.
