Have you heard about SEO For Firefox? It’s a cool plugin that lets you see a whole bunch of SEO information in a few simple clicks. You can download it from SEOBook.com.
Here is why you should get it right now:
When you visit a Google or Yahoo results page it will show information like pagerank and the number of backlinks right under each result. Of course the information won’t load automatically, as that would kill the search engine surfing experience (slow loads), but all you have to do is click the “?” next to each statistic to see it for that specific page:

The only issue so far is the search results pages will load then reload because the plugin will insert all of its links. That can slow down the page load time on the average comp by a couple of seconds, but I tend to think that delay is offset by the usefulness of this plugin.
To get statistics about a single page, just right click, go down to “SEO For Firefox”, then select “lookup this page”. That will open a nice popup window with the same information as on the search engine results pages:

If you want to look up a link you simply right click on a link and select “lookup this link” instead of “lookup this page”
You can even set a preference to make all “nofollow” links have a specific background color, I think the default is yellow.
Oh, and I didn’t mention how much time this saves. Before I downloaded this handy little thing I spent a good minute or two getting all this info, now I can get it in a few seconds.
Please subscribe, or else I will cry. Do you really want to make a programmer cry?
