Over the past few days I have been fiddling with a new layout and I decided to switch Nusuni.com over to it. I also changed the format of the homepage. Instead of the blog being the homepage, I switched it to a static page that will display items of interest. You can access the blog at /blog, and all permalinks are still valid (/blog is technically the install dir of wordpress on here). Sometime tomorrow or the next day I’ll write up a tutorial showing how I did all this.
Here’s a comparison:
Old:

New:

The most obvious change is the coloring and format, but I have also decided to add Adsense back on here, a man has to pay for his hosting bills somehow
I still can’t decide whether or not I want to leave spaces in-between the navigation items (on the top) or not… Apparently my web browsers can’t either… sometimes the spaces show and sometimes they don’t.
And, on a side note: This new layout is not compatible with IE 6 at all. It works partially on IE 7 (the top nav bar is a bit messed up), but I tested this on Safari, Netscape, Camino, Opera, and Firefox (on Windows and Mac OS) and it worked flawlessly, plus it is standards compliant. I didn’t feel like wasting 700+ hours trying to get it to work on IE 6.
As always, any comments or questions are welcomed.
