A week or so (probably been two weeks, time flies) I changed my robots.txt file to show the sitemap URL in it.
Today I have gotten real traffic from Yahoo for the first time ever. Previously a user or two might have trickled through, but today I’ve seen a lot more. A direct result of informing Yahoo of the sitemap, or a coincidence? You be the judge.
Maybe it is because I use meta tags more often, hmm.

I just updated my robots.txt with the sitemap link. If I see the same yahoo increase, then I think we’re on to something. Give it a week or so and I’ll let you know what happens.

If its not the sitemap link then I will know its because of the meta tags, which as far as I can tell Yahoo still uses.
