If you have been a reader for over a month you may have noticed that lately I have had less and less posts about blogging and SEO. The reasoning is simple, I’m slowly changing gears and creeping into the more die hard geek side of things.
Over the past few weeks I have noticed that more and more blogs about blogging (even some big name ones) are starting to regurgitate the same exact information that they have already talked about over and over. The entire “market” - if that is what you want to call it - is become clogged and over-saturated. Nothing new is happening, so all they can do is talk about the same thing.
It is a bit like what happened with strictly SEO blogs about two years ago. A few good ones popped out, then tons of new ones came in late in the game and over-saturated everything. Then everyone talks about the same darn thing.
I will continue to write about blogging and SEO and all that good stuff, but it will no longer be the main focus. Instead, Nusuni.com will become more about really nerdy stuff… you know: programming, web design, photoshop, news, theories, etc. So far the results of my transition have been mixed. Traffic is down but RSS circulation is up. I suppose that means people are sticking around more, which is a a very good thing. On a side note: Hello new readers.
As I said above, there will still be some posts about blogging and SEO, but it won’t be the main focus anymore. That is one reason why I changed the slogan from “Helping Webmasters Everyday” to “Random Rants of a Rambling Computer Nerd” a few months ago.
Please subscribe, or else I will cry. Do you really want to make a programmer cry?
