Microsoft And AT&T Demand Review Of Google-DoubleClick Deal

Microsoft and AT&T are urging a review of the recent deal that would allow Google to buyout DoubleClick for $3.1 billion. They claim the deal could stifle competition.

Question is, why is Microsoft so worried about it? Yahoo and Time Warner both lost as well and they aren’t whining about it. Shouldn’t those folks in Redmond be worrying about something slightly more important… like security and software issues? So far all Time Warner has said is they are not sure if they are going to try and block it, and Yahoo has thus far kept its mouth shut.

The deal has yet to go through the regulatory process in the United States, so it will be interesting to see whether or not it falls apart.

Please subscribe, or else I will cry. Do you really want to make a programmer cry?
