Google, I beg of you, please cancel all contracts with the advertiser who posted that damn “Are You Gay?” ad. I have seen it everywhere, it doesn’t matter which niche the site is or what the content is, the ad still appears. Please get rid of it, it is very annoying. The advertiser is probably doing something against your ToS if the ad appears on every site on the planet…
It isn’t quite as annoying as the darn Jill Wagner Mercury ads that appeared on SiteMeter and StatCounter for 4 months (they finally got rid of that thing), but it is still pretty darn annoying!

GoStats is a great alternative to stat counter and site meter. Not a full solution, but a start.
