The quarterly Technorati State of the Blogosphere report has been released, and wow, the blogosphere as yet to peak. Technorati currently tracks over 70 million blogs, and 120,000 new blogs are made each day.
Around 3,000 to 7,000 new splogs are created each day on average, which is pretty scary when you think about it. Anywhere from 2-5% of blogs created each day are spam blogs. That is simply amazing…
The really sad thing is each splogger probably has 100+ blogs. They are too dumb to realize writing one good blog is better than scraping together 100+ blogs. Oh well, some people never learn.
Another amazing statistic is that 58,000 blog posts are getting posted each hour on average. That is almost 1,000 posts per minute! And for those who really suck at math, that is 16 posts per second! I am sure Engadget makes up 1/5 of that figure
.
Oh well, why not take a look at the statistics for yourself?
Please subscribe, or else I will cry. Do you really want to make a programmer cry?

Who would have thunk it that the Japanese are blogging more than the English?

Not that surprising, Japan is still byfar the most technologically advanced nation.
