What’s happened to the First Amendment? Freedom of the press? Freedom of assembly? ANY expectation of privacy? I realize that this is being done by the school in loco parentis, presumably to protect children from sexual predators on line, but these folks have overstepped their boundaries as educators implementing this particular policy and using such Draconian measures as suspension to enforce it. Children are entitled to the same protections under the Constitution as adults. They are not an underclass. They are citizens and every word of the Bill of Rights applies to them. The school simply has to find another way of dealing with this. Enough said. Whatever happened to common sense? It seems a rarity among educators these days.
