Multi-Touch Screens… And WYSIWYG?

Has anyone thought about how useful multi-touch screens could be for WYSIWYG design? It would be so sweet to be able to design a page using a simple movement of my fingers.

In case you don’t know, multi-touch screens are basically touch screens that allow you to use more than one finger. It is brand new technology, and it is just now starting to make its way onto the market with devices like Apple’s iPhone.

I was just sitting here the other day working on a small layout web site layout when I thought to myself, “Heck, this would be so easy with a good WYSIWYG editor and a multi-touch screen.” Sure the screens are cool and would be useful for a lot of things, but I never really thought about what impact they could have on WYSIWYG design. At least until now.

Then again, I am one of those people who prefers text to GUI any day, so I would probably get bored with it after a while…

What do you think?
