When Did You Learn To Make Web Sites?

I was looking through the DigitalPoint forums the other day and noticed an interesting thread, where a forum member asked, “how did you learn HTML and web design?”

I chimed in with my answer, and it gave me a great idea. Why not ask that question here? So, when did you learn to make web sites?

I first encountered HTML at a very young age. I bought a book called “HTML For Kids” or something like that when I was around age 8 or 9. I started experimenting in the various aspects of page design, and got pretty good at the basics. About a year later I bought a Javascript book and got pretty darn good at that also.

When I was about 12 I found out about CSS (which was still very new to the Internet at the time), so I started experimenting with that.

Although I am not an artsy person, I know how to develop web applications pretty well, mostly because I learned about a lot of this stuff when I was so young.

So, when did you learn to make web sites?

Please subscribe, or else I will cry. Do you really want to make a programmer cry?
