The debate of short articles vs long articles and posting daily vs weekly has been ongoing for years. Most articles that look at these two distinct, yet related, debates are confusing and long. So, instead of writing a ten page article on the subject, I have decided to write a quick post on it.
If you write short articles, you should try to post daily. Both search engines as well as humans love content. By posting daily you are making up for the fact you write short posts. Plus, your readers won’t mind reading a short article or two every day.
If you write longer articles, you can probably go a few days without posting. Nobody likes reading long rambling posts every single day, and humans are more important than the search engine bots.
The thing that really matters is that you should try to keep your post length and frequency consistent. Don’t write 5 posts one day and go five days without posting. Your readers will hate you, and they will find a better blog elsewhere.
Please subscribe, or else I will cry. Do you really want to make a programmer cry?
