Sweden Makes DoS Attacks Illegal

Well, good news for all your website junkies out there. Sweden has officially made denial of service (DoS) attacks illegal.

DoS attacks are some of the most common, and the most destructive attacks against web servers. They can occur by sending fake IP header information to a server, which can cause some horrible looping problem, or by overwhelming a server with requests, which are generally sent via malware on thousands of home PCs.

The law will make hackers who use DoS attacks go to jail for two years, and make it illegal to do DoS attacks, whether automatically or manually.

My question is, if a large site like Digg or Slashdot post an article from your site on their front page, does that count as a DoS attack?

Please subscribe, or else I will cry. Do you really want to make a programmer cry?
