Which Type Of Blogger Are You?

It is true that every blogger has their own unique personality, however, they also have some similarities. I have put together a list of some of the various types of bloggers, which will help you answer the all-important question, which type of blogger are you? And, are you one type, or multiple types?

Culture Junkie

Do you only write about popular news? If so, you are a Culture Junkie.

Blogs that are written by Culture Junkies can either be extremely successful, or they only last 5 minutes. But at least they can be fun to read.

News Addict

News Addicts tend to write about everything, popular or unpopular, in the news. This type of blogging can lead to boring posts, which is why most news junkies give up after a few days/weeks. However, some blogs written by News Addicts are very successful.

Fact Lover

Do you constantly check and recheck everything you write to make sure every fact is 100% undoubtedly true? If so, you are a Fact Lover. Fact Lovers often are News Addicts as well, so they usually write very factual, yet dull, news articles.

Blogosphere

Blogosphere bloggers only write about the blogosphere. Their blogs are useful for news aggregation, but that is about it.

Life

Life bloggers write about the daily events in their lives. In their posts they may go completely off topic, e.g. in a post about a movie they may also talk about the rain, and then they might talk about their dog.

Life bloggers are the main reason why blogs are viewed as being diaries/journals.

Classifier

Classifiers can be the most annoying bloggers on the planet. They create new categories every single time they post something new. If you have as many categories as posts, you are definitely a Classifier.

Conspiracy

Conspiracy bloggers try to come up with wacky ideas as to why stuff happens. These are the people who believe stuff like 9/11 was secretly staged by the government, and all of the people who died are still alive.

Conspiracy blogs may get some publicity every once in a while, but smart people know to avoid them.

Zealot

Are you obsessed with Microsoft or Apple? Is your blog dedicated to how amazing a certain company/person is? Congrats, you are a Zealot blogger.

The only people who read Zealot blogs are those who are obsessed with the same thing, and those who are completely against it.

Educational

Educational bloggers like to help others. These are often the most successful blogs on the Internet, especially if the topic at hand is currently popular.

On the other hand, if they enter into a field which is already full of blogs, they will surely fail unless they can show off their unique abilities.

Random

Random bloggers are a bit like Life bloggers and News Addicts. Except instead of only blogging about their life and stuff in the news, they write about every other thing you can possibly think of.

Want a new recipe and Bill Gates’ address? Go visit a random blog.

Mean

Mean bloggers try to pick fights with whoever they can. If a popular blog writes about how amazing the moon is, mean bloggers will write about how we should blow it up.

Their opinions constantly change and they have no guts. However, their blogs can become popular, mostly because of the correct use of controversy.

Pessimistic

Pessimistic bloggers have a gloomy world view. They constantly write about how the world is going to end, and how their life sucks, etc. The only people who read blogs by Pessimistic bloggers are friends and family.

Happy

And finally there are Happy bloggers. Happy bloggers are happy about everything and they look at the bright side of everything. If nuclear war were to occur, Happy bloggers would still be happy.

They are generally viewed as being “odd”, and they are usually avoided. Luckily there are very few of them in existence, but when you do encounter one, you will know it right away.

So, which type of blogger are you?
