A Warning About “Make Massive Money” Scam Sites

I have never understood the purpose of those “make $90,000 a month writing short articles” type scam sites. You know what I mean, those stupid little one-page sites that have no real content and use black-hat SEO techniques to get on the first page of Google.

I am sure the creators of these so called “wonderful sites” are making some quick cash off them, but I highly doubt they are making anywhere near the amount that real professional bloggers make.

Do people actually fall into those traps still? The FTC has issued several [dozen] warnings about such sites, yet so many people still seem to flock to them. If you are one of those people who is thinking about joining in on those scams then you should really ask yourself a few questions.

If they make $90,000 a month off the internet why do they have to charge $200 for a poorly written e-book?

This section’s title says it all. If these so called “advertising geniuses” are making that much ($1,000,000+ a year!) then how come they need to charge $200 for their information.

You can find much more valuable information for free all over the place. The best places for getting information on making money by blogging are, in my [worthless] opinion, ProBlogger and Work Boxers.

Now some may disagree with me because a lot of rich people (celebrities) write books on topics that you can find information on for free. The difference is, those books are not poorly written and they don’t cost $200. Most of the the “pay me money for e-book” schemes are just get rich quick scams.

If they make so much money how come they can’t hire a good web designer?

So many of these scam sites are poorly designed. They generally have a single column layout that is centered on the screen, a white background, and many different font colors, sizes, and styles. They look like something a fool would make.

If they are making that much money how come they can’t give a few bucks to a web designer and get a good layout. At least they could go on FreeLayouts.com and get something better.

Why are all of their sites designed the same?

As I said above most of these scam sites are designed exactly the same. They feature over-hyped text for a few paragraphs, then they have a few pictures of people in front of their new cars, and then below that they have the forms for their e-mail subscription and e-books and such.

Whether they are trying to sell unethical “automatic blogging” software or an e-book, the layout will be pretty much the same.

How can I check if the site is bogus?

Use Google.

Really, it is that simple. Just go on your favorite search engine, search for the site name and put the word “scam” after it, and if it is a bogus site then you should find out very quickly.

Also, your country may have some online resources for finding scam sites.
