How To Get Your Site Quickly Indexed By Google

Good techniques:

  1. Submit your site to Google — obvious, but many people forget this step
  2. Use Google Sitemaps
  3. Get linked to by a highly-ranked site
  4. Submit your site to some directories
  5. Write a good article and submit it to sites like Digg
  6. Write press-releases/articles with your URL in them
  7. Comment on a high page-ranked site and use your URL in the URL field
  8. Use trackbacks
  9. Befriend someone who works at Google

Bad techniques:

  1. Start a spam blog on a free service like blogger and link over to your new site
  2. Submit your site to Google 500 times per day
  3. Spam-comment other blogs
  4. Write something extremely controversial so everybody links to it, thus getting you traffic and links (controversial people suck)
  5. Bribe a Google employee

Using Google Sitemaps and manually submitting your site to Google are by-far the best ways to ensure a quick indexing of your site.
